Where does the trip start and finish?
Where does the trip start and finish?
This trip starts and finishes in Cusco, Peru. On day one of your tour, please arrive in Cusco and check into your joining hotel before your welcome meeting in the evening (usually between 5 pm and 7 pm).
What if I'm travelling solo?
What if I'm travelling solo?
We believe single travellers should not have to pay more to travel so our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip.

Yes, travel insurance is compulsory on this trip.
How much spending money do I need?
How much spending money do I need?
Every traveller is different and therefore spending money requirements will vary. Some travellers may drink more than others while others like to purchase more souvenirs than most. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping, and tipping.
When it comes to food, we recommend budgeting around 220-290 AUD for any meals not included in the tour price.
What should I pack?
What should I pack?
Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but because of the higher altitude in the Andes, the temperature can feel quite cold, especially at night, so you’ll want to pack a good mix of clothes for warm and cold weather.

What are the luggage restrictions?
What are the luggage restrictions?
We would highly recommend bringing no more than 15 kg on this trip.
We also recommend bringing a backpack or a medium-sized suitcase instead of a large suitcase if you can. You won’t need to carry your luggage around during daily excursions, but you will need to transport your luggage between each accommodation so we recommend packing as lightly as possible.
A daypack is also essential for carrying everyday items. Space is limited on transportation, so there is a limit of one main piece of luggage per person. You will be responsible for carrying your own luggage.
What style of accommodation am I staying in?
What style of accommodation am I staying in?
Accommodation will be a mix of hostels (4 nights) and hotels (2 nights). Hostels will primarily be multi-share rooms (typically 6-8 people per room) with a choice of mixed-gender and female-only dorms as well as available upgrades to twin-share rooms (same gender) if desired.
Some rooming exceptions may apply due to the unique nature of the itineraries and of the hostels themselves, which have been specifically chosen to give local flavour to your trip.
Please note that hot water shortages and power outages can be fairly common in Peru (even in upgraded hotels and private homes). We appreciate your patience and understanding that these occurrences are outside of our control.

If you have an existing medical condition or disability that may affect your trip or how the Tour Operator delivers your experience, they ask that you inform them in writing at the time of your booking. You may be asked to obtain a medical certificate, and if they reasonably feel they are unable to accommodate your particular needs, they reserve the right to decline your booking.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
While travelling on this tour, you'll experience a vast array of wonderful food. Your group leader will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip.
To give you maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, only some meals are included in this tour price. This also gives you more budgeting flexibility.
As a rule, groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. If you have dietary requirements and/or food allergies, please let the Tour Operator know at the time of booking or prior to departure.
